KRAKATOA
A body crashes against the ground. Thunderously.
From this action, the landscape becomes similar to that of a volcanic catastrophe.
Agitation, explosion, disappearance.
KRAKATOA is a tragic-comic piece that emerges from the necessity to address a social occupation: To break the public silence surrounding suicide.
Through physicality, speech comedy, and choreographical composition, the work explores how the plasticity of the onstage elements of a performance can offer the ground to walk with safe curiosity into open dialogues with heavy, hard to address matters, as it is the issue of suicide.
